The key to working out for me a trifecta of things. The first is good shoes (i’ve had 2 knee surgeries so this is a big one), comfy workout clothes (nothing that rides up, falls down, or totally looses it shape during the workout), and lastly… a great playlist! I like to rotate my music often so I don’t get bored while out on a run or doing cardio a the gym. Here’s a look at 10 of my current favorite workout tunes:

Happy Monday everybody! To celebrate the first day of July, I wanted to change things up a bit and kick off this new month with the first ever MPress Fitness Week! One major life lesson I’ve learned is that it’s not the brand, or style, or price of your clothing and accessories that make them look good. It’s about how you feel in your own skin before you put them on. There are so many different ways to achieve happiness through health, and that’s what I’m here to talk about today.


To me, inspiration and having fun is key when it comes to health and fitness. If I can have fun while working out or making dinner at home, then I’m always game. One person who constantly inspires me is Taralynn McNitt of the health and fitness blog Undressed Skeleton. Not only did Taralynn loose 100+ lbs during her health journey, she also catalogued her recipes and turned every meal into a fun project. If I’m looking for a dinner idea, snack idea, dessert idea, even workout idea, she’s my go to girl. Some recent favorites of mine that she’s posted are her Spinach and Pistachio Vanilla Protein Smoothie and her Aroniaberry Super Smoothie, both pictured above! Smoothies are my favorite way to start the day and here’s another recipe idea from the amazing Miranda Kerr in her new series for NET-A-PORTER!

Overall, living a healthy lifestyle can be really fun and enjoyable. The better you feel about your health, the better you will look in all those amazing new summer clothes!
